Overview

Fujifilm Cellular Dynamics Inc. (FCDI) seeks an information systems technology leader who will guide FCDI in identifying emerging trends, evaluating their potential impact on products and services, and driving the development of innovative solutions to maintain FCDI's competitiveness. This critical role will establish the current and long-range direction of technology aimed at keeping FCDI on the forefront of innovation and will align information systems' technology vision with business strategy while ensuring alignment with regulatory, data security and integrity requirements. The ideal candidate will excel at providing leadership in the development and implementation technology initiatives within the FCDI, while fostering a culture of technology innovation and collaboration across the organization.

Essential Responsibilities

    Oversee the development and implementation of the organization's technology strategy and develop and execute the company's technology roadmap ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  1. Develop a comprehensive data strategy, encompassing new data sources, simulation tools, visualization, and integration with the research and development teams, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
  2. Drive digital transformation efforts, leveraging technology to streamline business processes, improve customer engagement, and innovate product offerings.
  3. Lead the selection and implementation of new technology solutions, ensuring they meet the needs of FCDI and comply with industry regulations.
  4. Lead data management initiatives, ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance with relevant regulations including 21 CFR Part 11.
  5. Analyze long-term and emerging trends in technology and assess their applicability to various business operations.
  6. Advise on the use of technologies including but not limited to AI/Machine learning, IoT, blockchain to solve real-business problems.
  7. Work with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for technological innovation.
  8. Establish and oversee IT governance processes, including budget management, project prioritization, and risk management. ensuring cost-effective use of resources and alignment with strategic objectives.
  9. Ensure the seamless and secure operation of all IT systems, championing efficiency, compliance, and reliability. Leverage analytics and data insights to guide decision-making and enhance operational performance.
  10. Manage priority projects to ensure success, on-time completion and within budget.
  11. Oversee, partnering with HLUS, the management and optimization of IT infrastructure, including networks, hardware, and software systems.
  12. Develop, in coordination with HLUS, IT policies and practices that foster innovation, security, compliance, and efficiency.
  13. Oversee shared IT services provided by HLUS to ensure compliance with FCDI requirements and business needs.
  14. Develop and implement comprehensive disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
  15. Ensure robust cybersecurity measures protect FCDI's data and systems from cyber threats and breaches.
  16. Manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers, ensuring value for money and high service quality.
  17. Select, develop, train, motivate and retain a staff of capable IT professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

Required Skills and Education

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
  • 10 years of proven experience in a senior IT leadership role within biotechnology, or similar industry is preferred, with demonstrated achievements and progressive responsibilities.
  • Exhibits expert knowledge of current technologies, techniques, emerging trends and best practices related to program and project management.
  • Proficiency in the latest cybersecurity measures and an understanding of biotech/CDMO industry-specific compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to use business acumen and holistic perspective to see opportunities and risks of potential trade-offs.
  • Competent with current business intelligence and data software applications.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Web Based/Cloud Solutions, ERP, Business Intelligence and data warehouse management systems.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate cross-functional IT teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong project management and budget management abilities.
  • Knowledge of current technology trends and best practices.
  • Forward-thinking, innovative mindset that champions new ideas and perspectives.
  • Experience with digital transformation and data analytics.
  • Ability and willingness to be on-site 60% of the time.
