We have an immediate need for a Structural engineer to join our Transportation and Infrastructure Team, located in our Charleston, SC office. This position will involve analysis, design and inspection of highway, rail and pedestrian bridges and associated structures. We are looking for a motivated individual who wants to be part of a successful, growing practice within a firm that values integrity, determination and drive and rewards individuals accordingly. Responsibilities Include:

  • Work as an integral part of the Bridge Practice in our SC office.
  • Provide analysis, design and inspection of bridges and related structures.
  • Support structural design on selected projects and lead assigned tasks as appropriate.
  • Provide leadership and direction by mentoring and motivating junior staff. - Sr. Eng. only
  • Proactively drive safety and ensure that health and safety practices are maintained.
  • Assist in maintaining quality of project deliverables produced by the Bridge Group.

Qualifications Include:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering; Master's degree preferred, but not required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive design experience on structural engineering projects.
  • SC Professional Engineer (PE) license. - required for both Jr. Eng. and Sr. Eng. The PE is critical for both postings.
  • Solid structural analysis and design skills with an understanding of related engineering disciplines needed to complete transportation and infrastructure projects.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to form effective relationships with staff and clients.

Compensation Range:

$70,576.00 - $94,102.00
